If you are a rock climber who constantly wants to get better, then this 2-day course is for you. Let’s go to Calcena in Spain to master trad climbing skills on fabulous limestone walls!

In traditional climbing, unlike in sport, you have to place bolts and belays and build the way to the top of the rock yourself. During the two days of our tour we will learn all about this classic type of climbing: the specific gear,the technical maneuvers and the safety measures. These are some of the topics we will cover:

Setting floating belays
Double rope handling
Use of harness and brake device
Trad climbing basic and advanced knots
Carabiners and anchors
Improving rappel and safety techniques for descent
Advanced movements: Pros, Jams, opposition techniques

Located near the Moncayo, a 15km long mountain massif part of the Iberian System, Calcena is surrounded by beautiful plateaus, valleys and huge peaks. While stepping into the fabulous world of trad climbing, you will enjoy breathtaking views!
